Welcome to the Gay Games VII Partners Program! Launched in November of 2004, our partner program has already received enthusiastic support from sports and culture organizations and we are excited to welcome our first partners to the program.
All sports and culture organizations - large and small - that represent participants or potential participants in the Gay Games are eligible to join. To learn more, view the online program description or download the application form.
Athletes and artists - feel free to contact these organizations directly for more information on membership, volunteering, or how you can get involved in the preparations for Gay Games VII.
Federation of Gay Games
The Federation of Gay Games is the international governing body that perpetuates the quadrennial Gay Games and promotes the event's founding principles of Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best™. FGG members are designated with an √.
Team San Francisco √
Representing the home city of the Gay Games movement, Team San Francisco provides a local sports network and coordinates travel, uniforms, lodging and participation by the 1500 Bay Area athletes and artists expected at Gay Games VII.
Association Sportive Le Coq Musclé
Le Coq Musclé is a bodybuilding (physique) and powerlifting association based in Paris, France, established to support participation in the Gay Games through demonstrations, coordinated travel, and fundraising.
Atlanta Gay Sports Alliance
The Atlanta Gay Sports Alliance is an alliance of LGBT sports organizations from throughout the Metro Atlanta, Georgia, area. Rugby, Aquatics, Tennis, Football, Running, Soccer and Volleyball comprise this umbrella group's membership.
Austin Tennis Club
Austin Tennis Club (ATC) is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting tennis and social activities among the Austin-area glbt community. All tennis players and supporters, from beginners to experts, are welcome.
BeanTown Soft Tip Dart League
Beantown Soft Tip Dart League is Boston's gay and lesbian dart league. Matches are played at Boston bars. One of Boston's fastest-growing sports, BSDL helps build a sense of community and friendship in a social and competitive environment.
Bodybuilding Guild
The Bodybuilding Guild serves as the International Sports Governing Body for Bodybuilding (Physique) to the Federation of Gay Games, representing the interests of the sport and the athletes.
Cheer Los Angeles
Cheer LA promotes spirit, unity and diversity in our community through dynamic Cheer, Dance and Stunt performances. Our objective is focused on raising awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS charities and organizations through our Cheer for Life fund.
Cheer San Francisco
For over 20 years, all-volunteer Cheer SF has thrilled crowds with its unique brand of high-energy routines while remaining true to its charitable mission - raising money for HIV/AIDS service groups - and serving as ambassadors of good will.
Chicago Dragons Rugby Football Club
The Chicago Dragons Rugby Football Club is the first rugby club in the Midwest established to invite members from traditionally under-represented groups, particularly gay men, to engage in the world's third most popular team sport.
Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association
Chicago MSA serves over 2,000 men and women who play bowling, flag football, softball, tennis, volleyball and (new in 2005!) badminton. For Gay Games VII, many members will host athletes, manage tournaments, and welcome all to Chicago.
Chicago Razors
Chicago Razors is a new organization devoted to training triathletes for Gay Games VII. Primarily serving men, the Chicago Razors welcome all and also work in cooperation with Chicago's TriWomen. Contact via email at ChicagoRazors@yahoo.com.
Fédération Sportive Gaie et Lesbienne √
The French Federation promotes LGBT sport in France, coordinates French participation in the Gay Games, hosts a large multi-sport tournament in May, and facilitates networking between sport-specific clubs and individuals.
Florida Storm Soccer
Gay-friendly organization that provides an opportunity to play soccer in a positive and friendly environment. Membership is open to all regardless age, race, gender, color, religion, national origin, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
Gay and Lesbian Organization for Racing and Yachting
An international organization, GLORY provides a voice for gays & lesbians in the sport of sailing and encourages and assists individual sailors, clubs and teams. GLORY coordinated early Gay Games VII registration among its sailing clubs.
Gay and Lesbian Sports Alliance of Southern California √
The Gay and Lesbian Sports Alliance of Southern California was formed in August 1991 to promote recreational and competitive sports participation by local athletes on the national and international levels.
Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance √
GLTA is an international organization that manages and sanctions the worldwide LGBT tennis circuit. With 40 member clubs and 40 sanctioned tournaments, 5,500 players will participate in GLTA sanctioned tournaments this year.
Gay Sport South Africa
GSSA encourages participation in sport by LGBT persons throughout the nation of South Africa, and with Team South Africa coordinates participation by athletes in international sporting events such as the Gay Games and EuroGames.
Gay West Village Bicycling Club Toronto
Now in it's third year, with 84 registered members, GWVBC is the only dedicated gay and lesbian bicycle club in City of Toronto. All are welcome, regardless of ability. A laid-back weekly cycling and city touring club.
Golden Gate Wrestling Club
GGWC is one of the oldest LGBT friendly wrestling clubs, founded before Gay Games I. It has a strong mainstream recreation program in San Francisco catering to all levels of wrestlers and is affiliated with BAWA, USAW and FILA.
Gotham Volleyball League
Gotham Volleyball is the largest gay volleyball league in the world and promotes the development and enjoyment of the sport of volleyball among the gay and lesbian community. Members are primarily gay and lesbian but all are welcome.
Greater Long Beach Sports Association
GLBSA was formed by 12 local sports organizations in the Greater Long Beach area to coordinate activities between each Gay Games, and to coordinate the overall Long Beach presence at Gay Games VII.
Gruppo Pesce Italia
Gruppo Pesce Italia is a federation of master's swimmers and swimming clubs based in Milan, Rome, Bologna, Turin and beyond. Gruppo Pesce promotes freedom and inclusiveness through its open aquatics programs.
Hammerhead Aquatics
Hammerhead aquatics is a Gay and Lesbian Masters swim club for the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. The program includes swim lessons (beginners to advanced), special needs populations, triathletes, and our masters swim club.
Harbour City Wrestling Club
Sydney, Australia-based HCWC fosters a real interest in amateur wrestling, and welcomes participation, whatever the background, gender or experience. The club attracts all kinds of wrestlers from beginners to champion wrestlers.
Hobbergaasen Erlangen e.V
Based in Erlangen, Germany, Hobbergaasen was formed in 1997, inspired by the 1998 Amsterdam Gay Games (where they took silver). They won gold in the 2000 Zurich EuroGames and had a top 6 finish in the 2002 Sydney Gay Games.
Independent Billiard League of Houston
IBL, serving Houston's LGBT billiard community since 1995, is an ACS-sanctioned league which plays on Thursday nights at sponsoring businesses in the Montrose area of Houston. Open to all people, all skill levels.
International Association of Gay and Lesbian Martial Artists √
Formed at Gay Games III in Vancouver, Canada, IAGLMA is dedicated to outreach, inclusion and education for the gay, lesbian and supportive martial arts communities at the local, national and international levels.
International Federation of Gay and Lesbian Powerlifters
Formed after the Sydney 2002 Gay Games, IFGLP has grown to represent the interests of over 100 powerlifters worldwide. IFGLP's hopes to hold regional powerlifting competitions, and to represent powerlifters to the FGG.
International Front Runners √
International Front Runners is an affiliation of GLBT running/walking clubs that have organized in many cities around the world. Inspired by Patricia Nell Warren's novel The Front Runner, the first club began in San Francisco in 1974.
International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics √
IGLA is the world's foremost intl organization devoted to developing and promoting LGBT swimming, water polo, diving, and synchronized swimming. IGLA's members include 70 aquatics clubs serving nearly 10,000 people in 16 nations.
International Gay and Lesbian Football Association √
IGLFA fosters self-respect and understanding through the medium of football (soccer). They work to establish an international network of football clubs and to promote physical and tactical understanding of the game of football.
International Gay Bowling Organization √
IGBO is an 24-year-old international LGBT organization of bowling leagues, tournaments and individual bowlers. IGBO has almost 200 member leagues with over 17,000 individual bowlers in four countries and sanctions over 60 tournaments.
International Gay Figure Skating Union √
IGFSU serves the individual skater and the broader figure skating community by maintaining ISI memberships, coordinating ISI testing, and coordinating the sanctioning and excellence of the Gay Games. Individual memberships available.
Ishigaki Ju-Jitsu Club
Ishigaki is the largest and most well established LGBT martial arts club in the UK. Ishigaki has pragmatic and enjoyable weekly classes, self-defence courses and workshops. Founded in 1994, clubs are in London and Brighton.
Kansas City Gay Pride
Kansas City Gay Pride is proud to help coordinate Kansas City area athletes going to the Chicago Gay Games - "Team Kansas City" - working with Toto Sports
Lakeside Pride Musical Ensembles
Lakeside Pride is a musical organization committed to the education of the public at large about the positive aspects of the metropolitan Chicago lesbian & gay community through public musical performances, workshops & events.
Lesbian and Gay Band Association (Team Band) √
Comprised of 26 concert and marching bands from cities across the world, LGBA provides a network for bands at all stages of development, promotes music as a means of communication, and improves the artistic quality of member bands.
Long Beach Grunions
If you can swim a length of the pool without drowning, you can swim with us! The Long Beach Grunions are a totally cool, really fun, high energy swim team and social club for gays, lesbians and their friends. Long Beach, Southern California.
Los Angeles Blades Hockey
The Los Angeles Blades were established in 1985 as the very first openly gay and lesbian ice hockey club in the USA. The club fields a beginner/novice team and an intermediate team in LA-area leagues. New players always welcome.
Metropolitan Tennis Group
Metropolitan Tennis Group (MTG) provides its membership with expanded opportunities to play recreational and competitive tennis. The organization also serves as an alternative social forum for lesbians and gay men.
Metro Wrestling
New York City's freestyle wrestling club. Metro Wrestling holds regular practices twice weekly, Beginners' clinic once monthly and hosts two annual tournaments. USA Wrestling sanctioned, sends athletes to the Gay Games.
Nadadores of South Florida
The Nadadores of South Florida is a swim club affiliated with US Masters and the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics. The hold 4 pool and one ocean practice per week and compete nationally and internationally. All are welcome.
National Gay Basketball Association
Yes, basketball now has an LGBT organization of its very own. The new NGBA was born to serve US-based LGBT basketball leagues but is quickly become an international association with affiliations in 7 countries.
New York Gay Pool League
An 8-ball pocket billiard league with teams sponsored by local gay & lesbian bars in NYC. Building community and friendship, our mission is to play pool with a competitive spirit, meet new people, and raise money for AIDS charities.
New York Ramblers Soccer
Mission: to provide a comfortable and fun space for all people, regardless of their skill, sexual orientation, gender, race or religion; to come together and enjoy the competition, camaraderie and sport of soccer.
Niji-Kan Karate Do
Founded in 1993, Paris-based Niji-Kan is a martial arts organization affiliated with IAGLMA and the French Federation (FSGL). Niji-Kan means "rainbow karate" in Japanese. The group is open to all people of all experience levels.

Founded in 1998, UK-based Out for Sport serves as an umbrella organization for almost 50 sporting clubs in the UK, helps coordinate the UK presence in the Gay Games, promotes sport locally, and facilitates joint sports programming.
Queer Utah Aquatic Club
QUAC promotes participation in swimming and water polo by the LGBT and supportive communities in Utah. QUAC members practice three times a week, receive professional coaching, and are one of IGLA's premiere aquatics clubs.
San Diego Bulldogs Wrestling Club
Formed in 1998, the San Diego Bulldogs Wrestling Club is a USA Wrestling (USAW) sanctioned freestyle wrestling club. All weights and skill levels are welcome, and we especially welcome beginners.
San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus
Formed in 1978, the SF Gay Men's Chorus is now in its amazing 28th year. With 200+ singing members, their Artistic Director and Conductor, Dr. Kathleen McGuire, will be the Opening Ceremony Music Director and Mass Chorus Conductor.
SC Janus e.V. √
Koln, Germany-based SC Janus is a multi-sport organization with over 1,100 members participating in 32 sports, with activities every day of the week. Koln, Germany, is the 4th largest city in Germany with just under 1 million residents.
SkateOut
SkateOut provides information and inpiration for skaters who want to compete at the Gay Games and other prestigious national/intl events created by and for the gay community. SkateOut is the Bay Area's official Gay Games team of skaters.
Ski Bums
Ski Bums is New York's group for GLBT skiers and snowboarders. They sponsor social events in New York City and group trips to resorts around the world. They are one of the largest LGBT skiing and snowboarding clubs in the USA.
Sydney Frontrunners
Sydney Frontrunners is Sydney, Australia's gay & lesbian running/walking/bi- & triathlon sporting club, welcoming everyone - beginning, competitive, and retired runners, walkers and cyclists.
Team Adelaide
Promoting LGBT sport in South Australia, Team Adelaide coordinates local Gay Games presence, and with its affiliates organizes tennis, bowling, golf, running, DanceSport, squash, cycling, soccer, swimming, netball, sailboarding, and volleyball.
Team Arizona
Team Arizona is a resource network for GLBT athletes throughout Arizona. Team Arizona provides a database of resources, a newsletter, and sports leadership & expertise. Gay Games scholarships are available.
Team Chicago √
Founded in 1989, Team Chicago is proud to welcome the world to its home town. Team Chicago will help coordinate Chicago area athlete at the Gay Games, and play a key role in the hosted housing program for other athletes.
Team Colorado
Formed in 1982 to send athletes to the first Gay Games, Team Colorado now serves more than 200 athletes and artists from the Rocky Mountain State and will coordinate Colorado's presence at Gay Games VII.
Team Florida

Team Houston
Team Houston was created to promote sports in general within the GLBT community, as well as to coordinate "Team Houston" for the Gay Games including uniforms, travel, social functions, team building and more.
Team Indiana
Team Indiana is a group whose goal is to organize individuals and sports teams to represent Indiana as participants in the Gay Games VII. They will provide information, coordinate travel, and hold interim sporting events.

Team Johannesburg (formerly TOGS) is the oldest gay sport and recreation body in Johannesburg South Africa - umbrella body for sports including swimming, frontrunning, tennis, volleyball, and social events.

Team Nashville
Team Nasvhille is a group whose goal is to organize individuals and sports teams to represent the Music City as participants in the Gay Games VII. They will provide information, coordinate travel, and hold interim informational events.
Team New Jersey
Team New Jersey was organized to support the athletes of New Jersey attending the Gay Games. Providing e-updates, transportation, fundraisers and cooperation with Team New York, TNJ hopes to bring 100 athletes to the 2006 Gay Games. Email

Team New York fosters the personal growth, self-esteem and self-confidence of LGBT athletes, artists and their supporters and their organizations in the tri-state area through participation in year-round athletic, cultural and social events.
Team New York Aquatics
TNYA was founded in 1990 in preparation for Gay Games III. We welcome swimmers of every ability, sexual orientation, race, creed, status, and age (over 19). Our membership now numbers over 175 swimmers, divers & water-polo players.
Team Palm Springs
Team Palm Springs promotes awareness, support for and coordinates participation in the Gay Games by athletes, artists and fans in the desert cities of California's Coachella Valley.
Team Philadelphia √
Team Philadelphia is the Delaware Valley's official delegation to the Gay Games, with members meeting and training with other athletes, and supporting one another, and coordinating travel, uniforms and lodging for Gay Games VII.
Team Plus
Team Plus is the team for every participant in the Gay Games who is living with HIV/AIDS and thier partners. They will work with local medical staff with each games committe to ensure quality care or support services.
Team Rehoboth Beach
Team Rehoboth Beach (DE) is dedicated to promoting sports and recreational activities in the Rehoboth Beach community by hosting sports-themed charity events and organizing the local delegation to the Gay Games.
Team Sacramento
Team Sacramento - Sacramento Arts & Games Association - was founded in 1980, two years before Gay Games I. The organization exists to help coordinate LGBT athletes from the Sacramento Area coming to each Gay Games.
Team Saint Louis
An organization to foster participation in the Gay Games and other LGBT sporting competitions among members of the St. Louis area. It is open to everyone, regardless of skill level, age, gender or sexual orientation.
Team Salt Lake
Team Salt Lake is a multi-sport organization formed for the purpose of promoting LGBT sports in Utah and supporting those teams in their competitive efforts in attending the Gay Games.

Organized to represent athletes participating in Gay Games II in San Francisco in 1986, Team Seattle provides and promotes opportunities for lesbians, gays and their friends in all sports at all levels of ability.

Organized to foster local LGBT sports, encourage participation in sport, and to represent members' interests internationally, Team Sydney represents 13 local sports, and played a pivotal role in bringing the Gay Games to Sydney in 2002.
Team Tampa Bay
Team Tampa Bay is an "umbrella" organization dedicated to uniting Tampa Bay (FL) gay and lesbian athletes going to the Gay Games, providing financial assistance to needy athletes, sponsoring local events and facilitating networking.

Team Washington DC encourages and supports involvement in team and individual sports within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and broader community in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Toto Sports
Kansas City's source for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied sports, Toto Sports is help to coordinat Kansas City's presence in the 2006 Gay Games. Visit their website for details as well as a means to link with other athletes and teams.

Chicago TriWomen is an organization for women in triathlon, running, cycling and swimming.
Voile et Croisière en Liberté
VCL encourages gays and lesbians of all nationalities who are or could become passionate about sailing to meet each other and sail together - confirmed skippers as well as beginners. Seven VCL sailing teams will compete in Gay Games VII.
Vorspiel SSL Berlin e.V √
Vorspiel Berlin is one of the largest LGBT sports clubs
in Europe with nearly 1200 members in over 30 different sports and health-oriented sports groups. For the last 18 years the club has kept gays and lesbians on the move.
West Hollywood Aquatics
WH2O is a Masters swimming and water polo club based in West Hollywood, California, with over 190 members including gay, lesbian, and straight athletes and fitness enthusiasts from all over the Greater Los Angeles area.
Women's Sports Association
10-year-old Chicago-based WSA has more than 500 members working to foster harmony, sportswomanship, and leadership. WSA manages athletes in softball, golf, tennis, cycling, volleyball, racquetball, basketball and dance.
Wrestlers WithOut Borders √
WWB is dedicated to the promotion and development of the noble Olympic sport of Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling. With 13 member clubs internationally, WWB also connects individuals with local wrestling clubs.
