Tickets for Sports Events
All Gay Games VII events and competitions will be open to the public, and a wide variety of these sports and cultural events will be free of charge. Most sports events will be free to spectators, although some special competitions and final matches will require paid admission. Paid tickets will be required for the following competition finals: Physique, Figure Skating, Wrestling, Basketball, Swimming and Volleyball. Tickets will also be required for special post-competition productions including the Pink Flamingo swimming event, Ice Skating and Dancesport performances.

Tickets for Ceremonies and Cultural Events
Admission to Opening and Closing Ceremonies is free to all registered participants. Spectators can purchase tickets to the Ceremonies in early 2005. The band and choral program at the Gehry Pavilion will also require paid tickets, which can be purchased online in the coming months.

Tickets to these special ticketed events, ceremonies, and some cultural events will go on sale beginning in early 2005. A list of prices and specific event information will be available soon.

Kicking off 8 days of Gay Games festivities will be a spectacular Opening Ceremony at the legendary Soldier Field, home of the National Football League’s Chicago Bears and Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire. With 60,000 seats and a gorgeous setting on Chicago's lakefront, expect a spectacular display of entertainment, pageantry and international unity.

The Closing Ceremony will be held at Chicago's historic, ivy-covered confines of Wrigley Field, home of Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs. Wrigley Field is located in the heart of Chicago’s official LGBT neighborhood, so expect some great celebration both inside and outside of the stadium, as we welcome the Gay Games VIII host city, and celebrate friendship, unity, diversity and achievement.

The Gay Games VII cultural program, featuring band and choral events, will soar in Chicago’s newest state-of-the-art venue, the Frank Gehry Band Shell in Millennium Park, which accommodates 4,000 in seats and 11,000 on the lawn. Unifying choral Sing Out and band Step Out will complement the individual and choral performances. These combined choruses and bands, comprised of participants from across the globe, will join together in friendship and camaraderie for moving performances.
