Support the Gay Games

Your financial support for the 2006 Gay Games is important. Whether you support our fabulous 100 Champions Gala on 22-23 April 2006, contribute to our scholarship fund, make a cash donation, or participate in one of our other benefits, your contribution helps ensure that the Gay Games achieves its mission - acceptance, self-expression, and unity guided by the principles of Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best. Thank you for your support.

The Chicago Gay Games has not only received record corporate and small business support, but the local donor community, supplemented by those outside Chicago, has also stepped up to really support the cause. Whether it is high-end philanthropists or those breaking into their piggybanks, the donor community has raised significant money through donations, benefits, the scholarship program, and through sponsorship of teams.

  • The Chicago Games, Inc. Board
Unlike many long-term boards focused just on fundraising, the CGI board has had to also help fill part- and full-time positions. Many have taken time away from their businesses and careers, their families and friends, to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Some have been able to raise millions of dollars in cash and in-kind sponsorships and donations, and some have donated thousands of hours of their valuable time. Some have done both. And while some are new to the board, many have contributed since 1999, when volunteers first came together to plan a bid for Gay Games VII.

CGI salutes the following board members who made it to the finish line ... doing whatever they could, large or small, for the Gay Games movement.
